The MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea gallery partecipates also this year to Bologna Artefiera
For the 28th consecutive year, the MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea takes part in Bologna Artefiera.
Artefiera, the eldest Italian art fair, founded in 1974, re-opens from the 13th to the 15th of May 2022, after the careful decision of postponing its traditional edition in late January, due to the pandemic. It is the third live edition under the artistic direction of Simone Menegoi, since the 2021 edition was replaced by an online cultural playlist project. The fair is presented with three curated sections upon invitation, which complement the main section to explore other parts relevant to the fair identity: modern art and the historical post-war art, the new millennial painting from the 21st century, photography and video art.
The Artefiera Director strives for the exhibition quality
After having managed responsibly and transparently the effects of the pandemic crisis Simone Menegoi declares “Artefiera is presented head-on; with a galleries section without failures, that is actually enriched by some interesting new entries; with renovated setups; with a visit itinerary more rational and efficient”. The targeted selection of galleries, among which the Marcorossi ARTECONTEMPORANEA gallery, is unified with an approach that aims to give space to the individual poetics, inviting the expositors to present a limited number of artists. Moreover, like in the previous editions, the monographic proposes are encouraged, for the historical artists as much as the emerging generations. The monographic standard – 35, almost a quarter of the total – therefore provides also in 2022 a significant presence.
The MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea presents at Artefiera a four aces of artists: Berruti, Guerzoni, Tirelli and Ventura
Artefiera remains the reference art fair for the Italian galleries and the 20th and 21st centuries Italian art. The MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea gallery for its 28th consecutive year participates with four well-established artists among its contemporary art proposals: Valerio Berruti and Paolo Ventura with two new projects, Franco Guerzoni and Marco Tirelli with some historical works. Berruti, with whom the gallery celebrates 20 years of relationship, will present an unpublished artwork, a piece made out of fibreglass with led lights, marking the artist’s experimentation desire. Ventura continues the new cycle titled “I Ginestra” born after the fortuitous fund of a photographic album representing some acrobats from the 30s. These works are reworked by the artist with his usual collage technique which is then hand-finished with paint. Guerzoni and Tirelli will also be present with some historical works, the first with an important piece from 2008 and, the latter with some sophisticated artworks made with acrylic on paper dated 2007.
In 2022 Artefiera renovates the space
Like in 2020, the fair will take place in the pavilions number 15 and 18, respectively dedicated to the contemporary and the 20th century art, with the addition of new entering access which will allow to freely choose which pavilion to visit first. The stand setup is also new, more elegant and curated, pointing out the choice of Bologna Artefiera to invest in the manifestation to increase the quality. The MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea gallery will exhibit at pavilion 15, main section, stand C22.
