Elisa Grezzani is a painter born in Bolzano in 1986. In her working process, she alternates layers of liquid color with layers of transparent resin, giving depth to her paintings and imbuing them with ambivalence. Grezzani prefers to work on multiple pieces simultaneously, and the constant physical movement between them becomes an integral part of the creative process. Her works testify the artist’s desire to find a balance between form and color, following a concept of classicism where beauty remains a central theme to contend with. They are always abstract, vitrified, three-dimensional landscapes that can evoke underwater depths, gelatinous worlds, or places of the mind that emerge through the interaction of color and form.
